Financial Analysis of Distressed Companies

Geopolitical analysis is an essential component of a sound investment strategy. Shifts in the global balance of power away from the U.S., growing demands for populist policies in Anglo-Saxon economies, and the ‘crisis of expectations’ among EM middle classes reinforce the view that geopolitical risk to investment portfolios is not a fad.

The course combines seventy years of macroeconomic research with geopolitical risk analysis.
Our analytical framework regards geopolitics as either a risk or an opportunity, recognizing the need to preserve capital and/or seek profits as events are mispriced in the market.
We focus on the geopolitical and macroeconomic realities that constrain policymakers’ options, zeroing in on the investment implications and consequences of their decisions.

You'll develop an understanding of how geopolitical risk should be measured, how politics can impact investment returns, and what primary geopolitical and political trends will influence economic growth and market dynamics.

Training Course Content

The BCA Research eAcademy focuses on teaching the analytical methods and investment strategies developed at BCA Research over the past 65 years for macroeconomics, sector analysis, and quantitative modeling through our online live courses. Participants of our live courses learn techniques that will enable them to interpret data and important economic developments from the perspective of an investment professional. Each course will be two 1-hour sessions per week for 4 weeks.
