This course is for those who wish to enter the beauty industry at the base level and work on fundamental skills, progressing to a higher level and more specialised area upon completion.
On this course you will study: Make-up; Eye lash and eyebrow tinting; eyebrow shaping; individual eye lash application; stripe lash application; Facial treatments; Waxing treatments; Manicure treatments; Pedicure treatments; Reception; Health and safety in the salon environment; How to promote services and products to the client and How to work effectively as a Beauty therapist.
The qualification will include external multiple choice exams; portfolio building; written and practical assessments including anatomy and physiology. Most learners who are successful on this course will be able to find progress on to the following courses: Level 3 Beauty Therapy Diploma, Sports therapy level 3, Complementary therapy, Nail technology or Level 2 Diploma in Hair and Media Make-up Studies.
You will need at least a D/3 grade English language, a satisfactory reference, and a satisfactory school report, coming from school. A successful College interview will be required.
