Varndean College is a state-run sixth form college on the northern outskirts of Brighton, offering a range of over 30 A Level and BTEC courses for full-time 16-19 year old students, as well as the internationally recognised International Baccalaureate Diploma. In addition, it offers an Adult Education Programme offering a broad selection of evening classes and courses ranging from counselling, arts and crafts, music, photography, IT, health and personal development, general interest, as well as GCSEs in English, Maths, Biology and Languages.
Varndean College is a campus style sixth form college, with facilities for students studying subjects such as A Level Art, Drama, English, Maths, History, Photography, Psychology and Textiles. There are a wide range of Science labs (including its newly opened £2.9m STEM Centre), teaching rooms specifically designed for IT and Computing, as well as editing suites for Film and Media. In addition, the College has a gym, fitness suite, cafeteria, library and careers centre.
